A branded watch, signed jewellery, diamonds, gemstones, collectability or craftsmanship can make an item worth more than its raw metal content. Do not scrap a potentially valuable piece before specialist assessment.

Luxury watches

Sell your luxury watch to a London specialist

Useful details include manufacturer, model, reference number, age, condition, service history, original box, papers or warranty card. Clear photographs of the dial, case, bracelet, clasp and documentation can help the initial review.

Watches without box or papers

Missing accessories do not automatically prevent an assessment. Send what you have and our team can advise what is required for inspection and authentication.

Gold, silver & precious metals

Sell gold, silver and precious-metal items in London

We assess gold, silver, platinum and palladium items alongside natural diamonds and fine jewellery. Helpful information includes the hallmark, carat or fineness, approximate weight, certificate details, brand or maker and photographs.

Broken, worn or inherited pieces

Precious-metal content, diamonds, gemstones, craftsmanship, brand and resale demand can all affect value, so do not assume an older or damaged item has only scrap value.

Selling FAQs

Questions before you sell

How can I get the best price for my gold in London?

Start with an accurate weight and hallmark or purity, then have the whole item assessed before treating it purely as scrap. Branded jewellery, diamonds, gemstones, craftsmanship and resale demand can add value beyond the intrinsic metal price. Imperial Time considers the relevant characteristics and current market conditions before confirming any buying offer.

What gold carats and hallmarks do you assess?

Common enquiries include 9ct or 9K gold marked 375, 14ct or 14K gold marked 585, 18ct or 18K gold marked 750, 22ct or 22K gold marked 916, and 24ct or 24K fine gold around 999 fineness. We can also review unmarked items subject to testing and inspection.

Do you buy Sterling Silver 925?

Yes, you can submit Sterling Silver 925 for assessment, together with other recognised silver finenesses such as 800, Britannia 958 and fine silver 999.

Is the live gold and silver calculator a guaranteed offer?

No. It estimates intrinsic metal value using current third-party spot pricing and GBP conversion data. It is not a binding purchase offer. Final buying prices require specialist assessment and can reflect testing, condition, stones, brand, collectability, resale demand and market movement.

What items can I ask Imperial Time to value?

You can submit enquiries for luxury watches, fine jewellery, natural diamonds, gold, silver, platinum, palladium, coins, bullion and other potentially valuable precious items.

Can I sell a watch without its original box or papers?

Yes. Box, papers, warranty cards and service records may affect value, but their absence does not automatically prevent an inspection or offer.

How is the final price confirmed?

The final offer depends on authenticity, condition, specification, precious-metal or stone characteristics and relevant market demand after inspection.

How is payment made?

Once an agreed transaction is completed, Imperial Time uses bank transfer in accordance with its selling process and required sale documentation.

Have something valuable to sell?

Check the metal value, then send the item details and photographs. Our team can review the enquiry and tell you the next step for a specialist buying valuation.
