Spot price, intrinsic value and dealer offers are different
Spot price is a market reference for fine precious metal, commonly quoted per troy ounce. Intrinsic value estimates the pure precious-metal content after applying purity. A dealer offer is a commercial transaction price and can also reflect testing, refining, handling, market risk and margin.

How much is 9ct gold worth per gram?
The calculator derives an indicative 9ct intrinsic value from the available fine-gold reference multiplied by 37.5%. The figure is not a guaranteed dealer offer.
How is scrap gold calculated?
Weight is converted to grams where necessary, then multiplied by the selected gold purity and the available fine-gold value per gram. Stones, non-gold components, refining costs, dealer margins and collectable premiums are separate.
What do 375, 750 and 916 gold hallmarks mean?
375 means 37.5% gold or 9ct, 750 means 75% gold or 18ct, and 916 means 91.6% gold or 22ct.
Can gold jewellery be worth more than scrap value?
Yes. Signed, branded, antique, gemstone-set, rare or collectable jewellery can be worth materially more as a complete item than its raw gold content.
