Finished in a striking Blue/Orange colourway, the Orenji Hachi captures the unmistakable character of the Royal Pop concept with its octagonal-inspired styling, tapisserie-effect dial and modular pocket-watch format. Designed to be worn creatively, it can be styled around the neck, on the wrist with compatible accessories, carried in the pocket or clipped to a bag. Swatch describes the Royal Pop models as pocket watches made for flexible, expressive styling.
At the heart of the watch is a hand-wound version of Swatch’s SISTEM51 mechanical movement. The movement is visible through a transparent sapphire caseback, complete with a Pop Art-inspired detail, while the mainspring barrel also acts as a visual power-reserve indicator.
The case is made from Swatch’s patented Bio-ceramic material, a composite made from two-thirds ceramic and one-third bio-sourced material derived from castor oil, giving the watch a smooth matte finish while keeping the lightweight, modern feel associated with Swatch’s collaborative releases.
