GREEN EIGHT is part of the eight-piece Bioceramic Royal Pop Collection, bringing together the architectural design language associated with Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak and the playful, modular character of Swatch’s original POP watches.

This model is a Lépine-style mechanical pocket watch, identified by its crown positioned at 12 o’clock. Its vibrant green colour scheme gives the watch a bold, distinctive and highly recognisable appearance.

Green Lépine-Style Royal Pop Design

GREEN EIGHT features a green dial with a tapisserie-style geometric effect. This textured dial design references one of the most recognisable visual characteristics associated with Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak design language.

The hour markers and hands are coated with Grade A Super-LumiNova®, producing a blue emission in low-light conditions and improving readability.

A light-green octagonal Bioceramic bezel surrounds the dial. The bezel is complemented by eight light-green hexagonal Bioceramic screws, creating a coordinated tone-on-tone appearance.

The matching light-green Bioceramic crown is positioned at 12 o’clock, confirming GREEN EIGHT as one of the six Lépine-style models within the Royal Pop collection.

The case, bezel and holder have a vertically satin-finished appearance, adding visual texture while retaining the lightweight and smooth character of Swatch Bioceramic.

Hand-Wound SISTEM51 Mechanical Movement

GREEN EIGHT is powered by a specially developed, hand-wound version of Swatch’s SISTEM51 mechanical movement. This is a manually wound mechanical watch and does not require a battery.

The watch must be wound using the crown to maintain operation. Its mainspring barrel forms part of the visible movement design and provides a visual indication of the remaining power reserve.

The movement can be viewed through the transparent sapphire caseback. A Pop Art-inspired printed detail adds a colourful and playful finishing touch to the rear of the watch.

When winding the watch, turn the crown carefully and stop when resistance increases. Do not force the crown after the movement is fully wound.

Swatch Bioceramic Construction

The case, bezel, crown, holder and decorative screws incorporate Swatch’s proprietary Bioceramic material.

Swatch Bioceramic combines two-thirds ceramic with one-third biosourced material derived from castor oil. It provides a smooth matte finish while helping the watch remain lightweight and comfortable to carry or wear with compatible accessories.

Sapphire Crystal and Display Caseback

The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, providing enhanced resistance to scratches compared with conventional plastic watch crystals.

An anti-reflective coating helps improve dial visibility under different lighting conditions. The transparent sapphire caseback also allows the hand-wound SISTEM51 mechanical movement to remain visible.

Modular Royal Pop Styling

The Bioceramic Royal Pop collection reinterprets the modular concept of Swatch’s original POP watches. The watch module can be removed from its holder and used with compatible Royal Pop accessories.

Depending on the chosen accessory, GREEN EIGHT can be worn around the neck, carried in a pocket, attached to a bag or fitted to a compatible wrist strap or bracelet.
