Part of the eight-piece Bioceramic Royal Pop Collection, ORENJI HACHI combines design cues associated with Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak with the colourful, modular personality of Swatch’s original POP watches.

ORENJI HACHI is a Lépine-style pocket watch, distinguished by its crown positioned at 12 o’clock. Its deep navy and bright orange colour combination gives it a bold, contemporary appearance while retaining the recognisable octagonal design language of the Royal Pop collection.

Navy and Orange Lépine-Style Design

ORENJI HACHI features a deep navy dial with a tapisserie-style effect. The textured dial creates a distinctive geometric appearance inspired by one of the most recognisable design elements associated with Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak.

The hour markers and hands are coated with Grade A Super-LumiNova®, producing a blue emission in low-light conditions and improving visibility of the time.

A navy octagonal Bioceramic bezel surrounds the dial. Eight contrasting orange hexagonal Bioceramic screws create a bold visual accent around the bezel and give ORENJI HACHI its distinctive colour identity.

The navy Bioceramic crown is positioned at 12 o’clock, confirming the model’s traditional Lépine-style pocket-watch layout. Unlike the Savonnette-style LÀN BA and OTG ROZ models, ORENJI HACHI does not feature a separate small-seconds subdial.

Hand-Wound SISTEM51 Mechanical Movement

ORENJI HACHI is powered by a specially redesigned, hand-wound version of Swatch’s SISTEM51 mechanical movement. This is a manually wound mechanical watch and does not require a battery.

The watch must be wound using the crown to maintain operation. The mainspring barrel also forms part of the visible mechanical design and acts as an indication of the remaining power reserve.

The movement can be viewed through the transparent sapphire caseback, allowing the mechanical construction to become part of the watch’s visual presentation. A Pop Art-inspired printed detail adds a playful finishing touch to the caseback.

Swatch Bioceramic Construction

The case, bezel, crown and decorative screws incorporate Swatch’s proprietary Bioceramic material.

Swatch Bioceramic combines two-thirds ceramic with one-third biosourced material derived from castor oil. The material provides a smooth, silky matte surface while helping the watch retain a lightweight and contemporary feel.

Sapphire Crystal

The front of the watch is protected by a sapphire crystal, providing enhanced scratch resistance compared with conventional plastic watch crystals.

An anti-reflective coating helps improve dial visibility under different lighting conditions. The transparent sapphire caseback also provides a clear view of the hand-wound SISTEM51 movement.

Modular Royal Pop Styling

The Royal Pop collection reinterprets the modular concept of Swatch’s original POP watches. The watch can be removed from its holder and styled using compatible Royal Pop accessories.

Depending on the selected accessory, the watch can be worn around the neck, carried in a pocket, attached to a bag or fitted to a compatible wrist strap or bracelet.
