Part of the eight-piece Bioceramic Royal Pop Collection, LÀN BA brings together design cues associated with Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak and the colourful, modular character of Swatch’s original POP collection. The result is a distinctive Swiss mechanical pocket watch created for collectors and for flexible, expressive styling.

LÀN BA is one of the two Savonnette-style models within the Royal Pop collection. Unlike the six Lépine models, its crown is positioned at 3 o’clock and its blue dial includes a separate light-blue small-seconds subdial.

Blue Savonnette-Style Royal Pop Design

The LÀN BA features a blue dial with a tapisserie-style effect, creating a textured appearance inspired by one of the most recognisable visual elements associated with the Royal Oak design language.

The blue dial is complemented by a light-blue petite seconde, or small-seconds, subdial. Its hour markers and hands are coated with Grade A Super-LumiNova®, producing a blue emission in low-light conditions.

Surrounding the dial is a light-blue octagonal Bioceramic bezel. The light-blue Bioceramic crown is positioned at 3 o’clock, while eight blue hexagonal Bioceramic screws reinforce the watch’s distinctive architectural appearance.

The vertically satin-finished case and bezel create a refined surface texture while retaining the colourful and playful identity of the Royal Pop collection.

Hand-Wound SISTEM51 Mechanical Movement

LÀN BA is powered by a specially redesigned, hand-wound version of Swatch’s SISTEM51 mechanical movement. This is a manually wound mechanical watch and does not use a battery.

The movement is visible through the transparent sapphire caseback, allowing the mechanical construction to become part of the watch’s design. The caseback incorporates a Pop Art-inspired printed detail in keeping with the creative character of the Royal Pop collection.

The mainspring barrel also serves as a visual indication of the movement’s remaining power reserve. The watch must be wound manually using the crown to maintain operation.

Bioceramic Construction and Sapphire Crystal

The watch is constructed using Swatch’s proprietary Bioceramic material. This composite combines ceramic with a biosourced material derived from castor oil, creating a smooth, lightweight and contemporary finish.

A sapphire crystal provides enhanced resistance to scratches compared with conventional plastic watch crystals. The crystal also features an anti-reflective coating to improve dial visibility under different lighting conditions.

Designed for Creative Styling

The Swatch x Audemars Piguet Royal Pop collection revisits the modular spirit of Swatch’s original POP watches. The watch can be carried as a pocket watch or worn using compatible Royal Pop accessories.
