OTTO ROSSO forms part of the eight-piece Bioceramic Royal Pop Collection, combining design elements associated with Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak with the colourful and modular character of Swatch’s original POP watches.

This model follows the traditional Lépine pocket-watch style, with its winding crown positioned at 12 o’clock. Its striking combination of pink and cherry red gives OTTO ROSSO a bold, expressive appearance.

Pink and Cherry-Red Lépine Design

OTTO ROSSO features a pink dial with a geometric tapisserie-style effect. The textured dial references one of the most recognisable design characteristics associated with the Royal Oak.

The hour markers and hands are coated with Grade A Super-LumiNova®, producing a blue emission in low-light conditions and helping improve readability.

A cherry-red octagonal Bioceramic bezel surrounds the pink dial. Eight pink hexagonal Bioceramic screws are positioned around the bezel, creating a coordinated contrast between the dial, bezel and case.

The matching cherry-red Bioceramic crown is positioned at 12 o’clock, identifying OTTO ROSSO as one of the six Lépine-style models within the Royal Pop collection.

The pink case and holder, together with the cherry-red bezel and crown, feature a vertically satin-finished appearance that adds visual texture while retaining the smooth, lightweight character of Swatch Bioceramic.

Hand-Wound SISTEM51 Mechanical Movement

OTTO ROSSO is powered by a specially redesigned, hand-wound version of Swatch’s SISTEM51 mechanical movement. This is a manually wound mechanical watch and does not require a battery.

The watch must be wound using the crown to maintain operation. The mainspring barrel forms part of the visible mechanical design and also acts as a visual indication of the remaining power reserve.

The movement can be viewed through the transparent sapphire caseback. A digitally printed Pop Art-inspired design adds a playful visual detail to the rear of the watch.

When winding the watch, turn the crown carefully and stop when resistance increases. Do not force the crown after the movement is fully wound.

Swatch Bioceramic Construction

The case, holder, bezel, crown and decorative screws incorporate Swatch’s proprietary Bioceramic material.

Swatch Bioceramic combines two-thirds ceramic with one-third biosourced material derived from castor oil. The composite provides a smooth, silky matte surface while helping the watch remain lightweight and comfortable to carry or wear with compatible Royal Pop accessories.

Sapphire Crystal and Display Caseback

The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, providing enhanced scratch resistance compared with conventional plastic watch crystals.

An anti-reflective coating helps improve visibility under different lighting conditions. The transparent sapphire caseback also provides a clear view of the hand-wound SISTEM51 mechanical movement.

Modular Royal Pop Styling

The Bioceramic Royal Pop collection reinterprets the modular concept of Swatch’s original POP watches. The watch module can be removed from its holder and used with compatible Royal Pop accessories.

Depending on the selected accessory, OTTO ROSSO can be worn around the neck, carried in a pocket, attached to a bag or fitted to a compatible wrist strap or bracelet.
